Offline Map Navigation

Offline Map Navigation is an offline mapping app, which allows you to download free maps of any place in the world, including maps of specific provinces in very large countries. Of course, the app also lets you view maps online, without needing to download anything, although this will require a permanent Internet connection and roaming to be activated.

The way Offline Map Navigation works is very similar to apps like Google Maps or HERE WeGo: enter an exact or approximate address, after which the app will show you the best possible route to get there. However, what makes this app so special is that from the options menu, you can download complete offline map packs, which you can consult at any time, even when your Android is in airplane mode.

Downloading map packs is very easy. First, you can filter by region by choosing between Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia and Oceania, Central America, South America, and North America. After this first filter, you'll see a list of all the available countries. In some cases, such as with Canada, the United States, Germany, and South Korea, you can download more specific maps of provinces or states. However, you must be careful when downloading maps, as they take up a lot of space. The map of Brazil, for example, occupies about 2.7 GB.

Another interesting feature of Offline Map Navigation helps you find different types of places instantly, at the touch of a button. This way, with just a tap, you can find hospitals, restaurants, shopping malls, airports, embassies, and much more. From the options menu, you can also configure these buttons by adding your home or work place, among other locations.

Offline Map Navigation is an excellent offline mapping app, thanks to which you can find any place in the world without needing an Internet connection. The free version of the app, however, has one limitation: you can only store one map on your device's memory at a time. Because of this, whenever you want to download a new map, you'll have to delete the previous one first. Even so, it's a tremendously useful app with a very accessible interface.
